Sprayed Trunk, Dry Your Face
Stacey Allam & John M Bennett

Sprayed Trunk

The sprayed horses tail
lifted toward the tree
swirling ashes circle the head
of swollen corn hairs
which fill my pants
with missing toothpicks
and a trunk that didn’t think

Dry Your Face

The cursive cherry
rolled under the fridge
screen shows whipping cats
and sausages sweating on the
windowsill the deflowering
of water squozen from a
desiccated face
