FIVE POEM Suite

PROPOSITIONS ALL

Arching like an exhalation outstretched
Over the outwardly widening river,

The silver bridge outlandishly outdoes itself,
Partakes of this all-encompassing sky,
That out and out expanse of bluest blue.

The gleaming bridge that gingerly belongs
So like a flaunted far-flung supposition

To neither locked-in land nor out-bound sky
Hinges upon these neat oblong tree-lined
Quite deftly flattened rocky banks

As delicately as elaborate silken materials
Stretched out tightly on a wooden embroidery hoop.

So hold your breath as you look on wonderingly
On all the arcs of conjured up beauty.
Breathe only once you turn resolutely away.

Swift outdistance yourself like boat and oarsman
Away from this silvery object lesson.

Isolation’s a solid state of mind
Like the silvery arching bridge proposition ,
The isthmus between two worlds.

PRECISELY !

Skirting the harsh enormity of the issue,
The hold dynamic of the binding vortex,
Wild violets and vast vermilions wander
Into the upheld rising day
Seeking the sun’s snap equilibrium.

Fluffy like scrambled eggs, sunbeams emerge
Exhorting promises of providence,
Oblivion repositories in store,
Threshold and pressure point of no return.
Extinction’s only for the enemy!

Rehearsals of all possible enactments,
Scenes of and from the piquantly glazed glass
Of fluid rigid mask-like memory,
Commence all vulnerability taut tense,
Utilising all kinds of stage props imaginable,
Slick entries and tactfully managed exits,
All that benignly ushered you straight in,
Well-timed like perfectly oared routine act.

So look inside and wade through the aeons
Of time in a glazed thread flash instant
And see and relish all that there looks golden,
All that cooks and simmers snugly inside.
The pressure of time’s lid is no longer on you.

The obsidian rock observation deck
Stands all oar-locked, stability intact.

PUBLICLY PRISMATIC

A moment seasonal opportune
To resonantly recapitulate,
Spring out of the ordinary tune,
Redundancy regurgitate.

Tersely expressing thought axiomatic
Sails on an opus sumptuously opulent
That re-echoes all that’s gone before,
And more, the relegated to the fore,
Contents consigned once to obscurity prismatic
So much so that all hard-pressed aromatic,
Long time and wide space pressing on relent.

LANDS LONESOME

Staunchly suppressing
All the ego efficaciously

Of being the one prime
Candid Constituent,

That proficient pivot
Of this worldly world,

The torrid thought
Outflourishing tonic-like

That unsurpassingly in tolerance
Untabulated prevails,

He tabularizes and gingerly tests
How this spread-eagle vast

Yet solitary land lies,
On how little subsidy-less it subsists.

PRESSURELESSLY ON THE SIDELINES

Ah for those lazybones, all slothful bears
Happily in dreaminess’s hands hibernation,
Whereas we lack-lustre sans energy enthusiasm
Are confronted by this winter of stagnation.

No strict agendas to adhere to, no disciplinary control,
What’s far from wanted is precision !
Why, such a drifter’s vague lax life many of us would like
Where we neither make nor endorse and ratify any decision.
